Aussois, a traditional village located on the southern side of the valley, boasts many natural assets. It is at an altitude of 1500 m and can be found at the foot of the Dent Parrachée,

one of the highest mountain peaks in the Vanoise National Park.  Aussois is a sunny alpine ski resort in winter, with 55 kms of slopes accessible to all levels of skiers.  There is also a cross country ski domain.  In summer, history buffs and sport fanatics may find

activities suited to their interests - to be experienced with family or friends.
